Dennis Carpenter has the Rubber Seal Kits # B7A-7029904-PR , $50.00 Plus S & H. If using the original glass 1/4" (.025) thickness you will need to use glass tape around the edge of the glass, to make the glass wider on the edges. The groove in the rubber seal is cut to wide.

"FOR SALE" 1957-1959 Ford Skyliner 51A Retractable U-Brackets. Somewhere out there a Retractable owner is lamenting his plight as one of these U brackets has broken and the top can't work. These are the U brackets that attach to the front end of the jackscrews. Unlike the OE flimsy, almost pot metal construction, these are made of quality steel and have the required machined slot running the length of the thread. These have been manufactured to the OE dimensions in all respects and are correctly painted in the original argent color. I have 3 available. 65.00 each. 07/25/10 - "FOR SALE" 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 club sedan (2-door) mildly modified. Body is stock with beautiful Inca Gold and Colonial White clear coat paint. Lowered in front with Cragers chrome spoke wheels with knock-offs. A no rust CA valley car with some original sale documents. I have owned it 11 years, previous owner 14 years and original owners 25 years. 292 (not original) truck block was professionally rebuilt and even balanced has 3700 miles. Fordamatic trans works great but is leaker. Edelbrock 600 and Pertronics ignition, new brakes, shocks, tires, windshield, radiator,alternator and much more. Interior has yellow trimmed black velour with chrome window moldings. For many years this car has been a winner at local and regional shows.
